Our lab (Team CEWill, represented by Emmanuel Ayedoun) won Innovation Award at the final round of Learning Innovation Grand Prix (LIGP) 2018, held in Tokyo on July 4th, 2018.

The awarded system (CEWill) is an embodied conversational agent enhanced with specific conversational strategies aiming to foster learners’ readiness towards communication in a second language. The judges especially appreciated the novelty of this idea in an area of work that has not been sufficiently explored, as well as the potential of such system to have great impact on second language learners.
